Notable are the 1986 attempts by MIT research affiliate Joe Davis, who led a project to transmit the sounds of vaginal contractions towards neighbouring star systems. To do so, he recorded the vaginal contractions of ballet dancers.
The project was promptly shut down by the US Air Force but not before a few minutes of the transmission was sent to two stars: Epsilon Eridani receiving the message in 1996 and Tau Ceti in 1998. No word yet on any return messages or increase in star temperature.
